Conversion: Document Preparation
PowerPoint Presentation Checks:
Before starting the conversion of the PowerPoint document, review the following points:
- Is each slide designed using the Slide Layout feature? (For more information, see Best Practices - Slide Layouts)
- Does each slide have a Title? (For more information, see Best Practices - Titling Slides)
- Are there multiple objects that can be grouped together? (For more information, see Best Practices - Grouping Objects )
- Have charts and tables been created in PowerPoint and not imported from another source? (For more information, see Best Practices - Charts and Best Practices - Tables)
- Have animations been properly created? (For more information, see Best Practices - Animations)
- Does the document depend on Media Objects to present information? (For more information, see Best Practices - Media and Objects)
- Has the document been saved using SAVE AS and given a title? (For more information, see Best Practices - Final Touches)
Word Document Checks:
Before starting the conversion of the Microsoft Word document, review the following points:
- Have headers been used to create section breaks? (For more information, see Best Practices - Headers)
- Are images placed and labeled properly? (For more information, see Best Practices - Images)
- Have charts and tables been created in the document and not imported from another source? (For more information, see Best Practices - Charts and Data Tables)
- Have columns been removed and tables used to separate information? (For more information, see Best Practices - Columns)
