Best Practices for PowerPoint: Multimedia
Be Advised:
Some programs will include objects such as sound clips, animated graphics, video clips, or other media objects. These objects are generally added to emphasize the content of the presentation or provide an alternative means of delivering information. Currently the Accessibility Wizard cannot convert many of these media objects. This includes the following:
- Sound Clips (files with extensions such as .wav, .mp3, .wma, etc.)
- Video Clips (files with extension such as .avi, .mov, .wmv, .rma, etc.)
- Computer Animated Applets (such as java applets)
- Program Objects (exp. Microsoft Equation, Adobe Acrobat)
If you choose to use media objects in your presentation, be aware that they may not convert. It is possible that during conversion, one of the following may happen to the media object:
- They will not be displayed
- They will be displayed incorrectly
- They will be converted to images
- They will not be heard

When the Wizard renders the slide with this image, the result is a static image with no animation.
